Who Are We?

Dual enrollment is a powerful opportunity that allows high school students to take college-level courses and earn real college credit — before they ever walk across a graduation stage. Through the Vanguard Program at Fortis Academy, students in the Fidelis Angels Network can complete an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree and/or a vocational certificate alongside their high school diploma, giving them a remarkable head start on their future.

In a world where the cost of higher education continues to rise, the Vanguard Program is a game-changer. Families save thousands of dollars in college tuition while students gain the academic confidence, professional skills, and credentials that set them apart. This is not just a program — it is a launchpad.

We believe every student has greatness within them. Vanguard is designed to draw it out.

Instructional personnel qualifications

In accordance with section 1002.421(1)(h), F.S. Instructional personnel must meet one of the following criteria’s’:

·         Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any subject (copy of diploma or completed transcript)

·         Three or more years of K-12th grade teaching experience (written proof of contacting the previous employer)

·         Special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualifies them to provide instruction in K12th grade subjects (provide documentation such as certifications, professional development, curriculum training, etc.). Pre-K experience and certifications would not meet this requirement.

PROGRAM BENEFITS

No Tuition Costs

Students earn real college credit at little to no cost to their family, saving thousands of dollars before their senior year is even over.

Graduate with Two Credentials

Complete both a high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree or vocational certificate simultaneously — a combination that opens doors others spend years trying to reach.

Career-Ready from Day One

Vocational certificate pathways prepare students for in-demand careers in fields like healthcare, technology, business, and the trades — with credentials employers recognize and respect.

College Confidence

Students experience real college coursework in a supported environment, building the academic habits, study skills, and self-belief they need to thrive at any four-year university.

Faith-Centered
Guidance

Throughout the program, students are supported not just academically but spiritually and personally — with mentors and advisors who see the whole student, not just their GPA.
